Hong Kong

Cinnamon~ this soothing lovely smell always reminds me of Canada. The memory goes way back to the preschool time at day care. Every afternoon we have our afternoon snacks, and somehow the hot apple cinnamon baby food is my favorite comfort food.

The smell of apple cinnamon became especially precious when I moved away from the comfortable life in Canada to Hong Kong. The smell of cinnamon is no longer common, the life of school is no longer marked with fun. Yet, whenever I smell scented candle of apple cinnamon, my body is conditioned to relax and enjoy my moment.
