Montreal, QC\/Xalapa, Mexico<\/em><\/p>\n

I spent two months in Xalapa, Mexico, a mountain town in Veracruz\u00a0state that doesn’t get a lot of tourists. There was constantly a smell\u00a0in the air that, even though I had smelt it before on occasion, up\u00a0until this point it had never been a constant smell so I never gave it\u00a0much thought. Finally I realised that it was the smell of roasting\u00a0coffee beans and it was always in the air because we were in the\u00a0mountains of Mexico where coffee was grown and produced. To this day -even though this trip was over 10 years ago -any time I go past a\u00a0coffee shop that is roasting coffee beans, the moment that smell hits\u00a0my nose, I’m instantly transported back to Xalapa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
